Building useful utilities
for UP Los Baños

We are an independent, open-source initiative creating custom, privacy-first software to streamline student workflows at UPLB. We also provide a collaborative training sandbox for student developers, designers, and creatives.

Core Mission

A modern, open training ground for developers and designers

uplb.tools is a collaborative project registry. We aim to address common student struggles—like mapping out room schedules or managing academic pathways—by building robust, local-first web applications.

Beyond software delivery, our primary goal is mentoring. Students of all skill levels work together, learning industry-standard technologies, version control, and interface design guidelines in a real-world sandbox.

Practical Utilities

We target actual UPLB campus needs. If a tool makes room search or grade simulation faster for the student body, we code and deploy it.

Mentoring Sandboxes

We welcome student designers, copywriters, and developers. Every contributor learns through pull-request reviews, feedback loops, and deployment flows.

No Data Monetization

We do not run trackers, inject ads, or collect student information. All computations run in the user's browser or as local extensions.

Production Registry

Active utilities built for the student body

Each project addresses a specific hurdle in campus life. Every repository is audited for data leaks and operates completely client-side.

Interactive Map NextJS Open Source

Room TBA

An interactive 3D map interface designed to help UPLB students look up empty rooms, review schedules by building, and find routes. Reduces registration friction by giving students immediate visual access to academic schedules.

Browser Extension GWA Tools Local storage

Elbi GradeSim

A lightweight extension compatible with Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Integrates directly with the UPLB AMIS portal interface, automating GWA calculations and simulating the remaining units needed to meet academic honors criteria.

Have a tool idea to optimize campus enlistment or navigation?

We are a growing community looking to collaborate. If you are developing a local utility, or have a product wireframe that solves a student issue, we can help you review, host, and maintain it under the organization.
